Painting Classes in Yuma, AZ
Classes and Workshops Taught by Carly Landry
Within the last five years I have discovered a passion not just for creating art, but also for teaching art to others. My humble journey into teaching art began in 2011 when I took on a position through Yuma Parks and Recreation teaching a children’s weekly painting class in Yuma, AZ. Over the course of that year, I was elated to see the progress and artistic growth my students were making with each course and loving the fact that I could be a part of that journey with them. It wasn’t long before I was convinced by the parents of my students and the director at the Yuma Fine Arts Association to begin offering more classes and workshops for a wider audience.
Currently, I offer limited group workshop and painting classes in Yuma, AZ during the fall through Spring months. In these classes, I explore the basics of painting with acrylics, guiding new artists who are just beginning their journey into painting. I also offer more seasoned painters the opportunity to advance their current skills and learn new techniques. The classes and workshops I have held thus far have been very well received and I’m thrilled to be able to offer more learning experiences to an even wider audience in the very near future in the city of Yuma, AZ.
